Q. How do I get a job at the Funky Fish?
Just drop us an email, make it informal, we're not the tax office, and we don't wanna know where you went to school or what your duties were at the village chip shop! We just want to know what makes you tick, what your good at etc, keep it real! Please wack a photo in it too, makes it a bit more personal, do it via our contact page.
Q. Is there a way of getting free tickets to the Funkyfish?
Yes, we constantly send out freebies via our Facebook page, just go to the top of the screen now and click 'like' we will then makes sure you're up to date with all our offers and events here. Q. Am I too old to come to the Funkyfish?
Simple answer - Most certainly NOT! We have a vastly differing age range coming here and that's the way we like it, the thing that glues us all together is the love of the music and of a night out NOT surrounded by pretentious attitude! We would heavily frown upon, and quite possibly chuck out, anyone that shows a bad attitude to other people in the club when it comes to age, race, dance moves etc!!!!

Q. Why will you play some tunes and not others, for example you'll play Rose Royce's Is it love your after, but not Donna Summers Hot Stuff or Abba's Dancing Queen?
Our music policy is this: Funk, Soul, Jazz, Motown, Old School Breaks and Funky, Quirky 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and a sprinkling of now, think Jamiroquai, Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse, Funky Breaks etc. With a large emphasis on the word 'Funky'.
In each of those categories there is a fine line to tread in order that we keep our music true to the policy,
taking the example in the question, we do not play cheesy disco, but some disco tunes were released before disco
really became generic and those tunes, were created by Soul Artists i.e. Rose Royce, Earth Wind and Fire,
Loleatta Holloway etc so we will entertain them in our policy.
We have really unique little club, with unique but not unaccesible music. We are quite protective of our policy as it's the one reason peeps choose to join us, we do evolve the music constantly to reflect the ever changing age range that comes here but the core of it all is FUNKY! As James Brown said "It's got to be funky!"
